The best quality olive oil
Astro Limited Extra Virgin Olive Oil is of the highest quality. It is an oil produced 100% from olives of the Koroneiki variety with fruity flavor, rich aroma and low acidity. Olives are collected from our own farms in the Peloponnese. The cultivation is done without the use of pesticides or other chemicals.
Harvesting period
The harvest is done by hand and the olive fruit is placed in open baskets that allow the fruit to 'breathe'. It starts in mid-October, when the fruit is still green, resulting in high quality olive oil that maintains its unique characteristics and flavor.
Oil production
The fruit is then cold-pressed at 27°C, no later than one day after harvest, using only mechanical methods, according to EU legislation.
Storage
The oil is stored in suitable stainless steel tanks to ensure its freshness and avoid oxidation.
Flavor
It has a nice green color and a special fruity taste that leaves a slightly burning and soft aftertaste. Astro Limited has acidity less than 0.4%.
